Terms of service

1. Agreement

By creating a WAMM account or using the WAMM web or mobile app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

2. What WAMM is

WAMM is a personal finance dashboard. It records assets, liabilities, income, spending, and commitments that you enter, and presents them back to you as balances, totals, budgets, and trends. It is a record-keeping and visualisation tool.

3. WAMM is not financial advice

Nothing in WAMM — no figure, projection, chart, insight card, reminder, or piece of copy — is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and none of it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. Projections such as fixed-deposit maturity values or budget pace are arithmetic applied to the inputs you supplied, not forecasts of what will happen. Decisions about your money are yours, and you should seek a licensed professional where you need advice.

4. Accuracy of your data

Manual entry is the baseline in WAMM, so the output is only ever as good as the input. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record. Anything WAMM imports for you is shown for your review first and never saved automatically, because you remain the one confirming that it is right.

5. Market and exchange-rate data

Prices, quotes, fund values, and exchange rates come from third-party public sources. They may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and they are provided for information only. Where WAMM cannot value or convert something, it will say so rather than show a number it cannot stand behind — but you should not rely on any valuation in WAMM as a settlement or trading figure.

6. Your account

You sign in with Google or Apple, and you are responsible for the security of that sign-in account. You must be at least 13 years old to use WAMM. One person, one account — do not share your account with others; use a household if you want to share data with someone.

7. Households

Data you explicitly share into a household becomes visible to and editable by that household’s members. Share deliberately: WAMM cannot un-see something on someone else’s behalf once you have shared it with them. If you own a household and delete it, its shared data and history are deleted with it.

8. WAMM Premium

What it is. Premium unlocks shared households: creating them, inviting people into them, and editing what is shared. Everything else in WAMM is free. A household’s owner pays; the people they invite do not. One owner’s households may hold up to six people in total, the owner included, counting pending invites.

Free trial. A new account gets 30 days of Premium at no charge. The trial asks for no payment details and does not turn into a paid subscription on its own.

Buying. Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app before you confirm. You can buy it in the iPhone app (charged by Apple) or in the Android app (charged by Google). It renews automatically at the same price until you cancel.

Cancelling. Cancel where you bought it: your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. For an App Store subscription, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge. Premium continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds. App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies; we cannot issue those refunds. A refunded subscription ends Premium straight away.

If a payment fails. While the store retries a failed renewal, Premium stays on for the grace period the store allows.

When Premium ends. The households you own become read-only for everyone in them. Nothing is deleted, anyone can still move their own items back out, and subscribing again restores editing.

Your subscription belongs to your WAMM account. It is not tied to the Apple ID or Google account that paid for it. To use it on another device, sign in to the same WAMM account there; restoring it into a different WAMM account is not possible.

Deleting your account. Deleting your WAMM account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Only Apple or Google can do that, and the app shows you how before you delete.

Price changes. If the price changes, the store tells you before the change applies to your subscription, as its rules require.

Complimentary Premium. We may give Premium at no charge at our discretion, for example to early users. It can be withdrawn, and it never becomes a paid subscription.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access another user’s data, or any part of the system you have not been granted access to
• Probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure
• Use WAMM for anything unlawful
• Resell or redistribute the service, or reverse engineer it other than as the law expressly permits

10. Availability

WAMM is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We aim to keep it running and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change or be withdrawn. Scheduled email reminders depend on delivery by third parties and should not be treated as a guaranteed notification of a payment or maturity date.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WAMM and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any financial loss arising from decisions you make in reliance on figures shown in the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Your data

Your data remains yours. How it is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You can export it or delete it at any time from settings.

13. Ending your use

You may stop using WAMM and delete your account at any time; deletion is permanent. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why where we are able to. If you subscribe to Premium, see section 8 for what deleting your account does to the subscription.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will update the date below and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use WAMM after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
